ultraman tiga

The titular Ultra of Ultraman Tiga. His human host/modern reincarnation is Madoka Daigo.

One of the Ultra-Ancient Giants of Light who came to Earth and a former member of Giants of Darkness, Tiga would later reawaken from his 30 million-years of slumber by merging with Daigo to protect the Earth from threats once more in the 21st century, following the prophecy made by Yuzare.

He is notable for being the first Ultraman in the franchise to be able to change forms, as well as being the first Ultra to appear in a televised series since Ultraman 80, ending a 15-year semi-hiatus.

His name "Tiga" is the Malaysian/Indonesian word for "three", referencing the three main forms that he can take.
