time eater (sonic)
The final boss of Sonic Generations. It is a shadowy monster capable of traveling through and controlling space-time at will. In the game, it crashes Sonic's birthday party to send him, his friends, his past self, and many different locations into White Space, an empty, timeless realm.
Physically, it is a purple, vaguely humanoid creature with a number of gears embedded into its body. It gains another set of mechanical arms and a more robotic appearance as it is tampered with by Dr. Eggman. Originally incomplete, the scientist found the Time Eater after a recent defeat, and teamed up with his own past self to help perfect it. Likewise, it took two Super Sonics to defeat it and undo their plans.
