shouyudai

Literally translates to "soy sauce fish". This is the generic Japanese name for those tiny fish-shaped soy sauce bottles that are often packed into Asian cuisine takeaway meals (although they're starting to become less common nowadays due to plastic waste concerns). They were originally invented by the Japanese company Asahi Sougyou, which still makes and sells them under the "LunCharm" brand name.
