The titular protagonist of Mount Celeb Kaneda-San.

Mochiko is an extremely wealthy high-school student, heiress to the Kaneda Zaibutsu. She uses her vast fortune to constantly "mount" (one-up) the ordinary people in her life (typically her classmates, such as Usui Sachiko) through extravagant purchases, complex gadgets, and other displays of luxury to assert her superiority.

However, Mochiko's schemes are often undermined by a combination of her own naïveté, clumsiness and sheer bad luck. She often ends up humiliated or defeated by the very plans and tools she believes will impress others; this often results in fanservice-oriented wardrobe malfunctions.

She has a curvy figure with large breasts. In typical ojou-sama fashion, she has long blonde hair with drill sidelocks and blunt bangs. As of the 139th chapter of the manga, she now sports a black hair ribbon tied behind her head, a birthday gift from Usui Sachio.

She wears a custom school uniform, consisting of a pleated blue skirt, long-sleeved (short in the summer) white taut collared shirt and black thighhighs. She initially used the designer nature of her uniforms as a means of boasting, but it turned out she only wears custom uniforms because the typical uniforms don't fit her figure.
