Dr. Fager was a racehorse from the 1960s, being sired by Rough'n Tumble out of the dam, Aspidistra. He was the only horse to ever win four end-of-year awards in a single season, having won the American Champion Sprinter, American Champion Turf, American Champion Older Male, and the American Horse of the Year in 1968.
He also set a world record on a dirt mile that still stands today, he won the 1968 Washington Park Handicap at a blistering 1:32+1⁄5, breaking the old record set by Buckpasser in 1966 by two-fifths of a second.
