crescent hair ornament

A hair ornament or hairclip shaped like a crescent.

Patchouli Knowledge of Touhou is frequently shown to wear one in her hair when she is not wearing her mob cap. It is also a signature element of the character Rena Lanford from the Star Ocean series.
