Artix Entertainment is an independent video game developer and publisher best known for their browser-based games AdventureQuest, DragonFable, and Adventure Quest Worlds.

All of their games are part of the same universe. The main world is called Lore, which is the world where The Hero (main character) lives (except for Epic Duel and Oversoul). In AdventureQuest, the first game, during a fight with the Eternal Dragon of Time, a dragonslayer called Galanoth, ended up defeating it and killing this dragon, thus "chopping up" the timeline into many timestreams.
