Splatoon (スプラトゥーン Supuratuun) is Nintendo's 3rd-person multiplayer shooter video game that stars squid humanoids called Inklings that wield various weapons such as super soakers, paint rollers, paint brushes and so on.
The game starts by the player creating and customizing her/his own Inkling and being able to play either single player or multiplayer modes.
In Splatoon 2 and Splatoon 3, the player can choose to play as the octopus humanoids, Octolings.
