I'm pretty sure the intention was that she instinctively tries to deny it, but realises halfway that, yeah, this is actually what she was asking for. But English doesn't conjugate verbs like this, the negative 'not' goes before the verb, instead of after like in Japanese, so I don't know how to translate that bit while keeping all of that context. If someone else comes up with a way to do so then feel free to change it, but otherwise I'm just leaving this here as a translation note.
