Before you cause a misunderstanding, only Sunborn CN, the server which was formerly the Digital Sky server for Girls' Frontline CN, is whats going to be closing temporarily at the end of this year. The rest of the servers remain unaffected. So EN/JP, TW and KR will continue to be online. Upcoming content which has been scheduled for CN (Including the collab with Arena Breakout and Major Event "Convolutional Kernel") will continue as intended till the eventual closure of the server on December 31st 2024.
Note: Staff have stressed that this closure is only temporary, and that gameplay and server progress will be saved for when the server eventually re-opens sometime in the future. Accounts which have made gem purchases prior to November 30th 2024, will be compensated in GF2: Exilium In the form of various in-game items based on how much paid gems the account currently has (This does not include gems obtained for free from in-game activities or included alongside gem purchases)

The server closure announcement was posted at the end of last month (October 2024), as of posting this comment, new users cannot register for a GFL CN account via Sunborn CN, nor are they able to download the client from respective links (v3.06), though if you have downloaded the most recent client previously, you can still technically re-install the game via it, but otherwise, official links to the client lead to a 404 (heh).
The announcement obviously caused slight unease with other servers, you can find the other servers making posts clarifying they wont be affected by the server closure, I dont have the links to those posts atm, but trust my word on it. Only Sunborn CN specifically and I believe Bilibili will be affected, the other servers will be fine.
I Primarily play on the CN server, so i'm strongly affected by the server closure, by December 31th, i'm going to temporarily lose almost 7 years worth of gameplay progress in the game. Its unfortunate, but i'm still hopeful for whenever the server eventually re-opens up, so I intend to wait patiently for that to happen.
