It looks like a misspelling or variant spelling of qìgōng.

... though it's written kǒng here so the pronunciation is off, too.

Qigong - 気功(きこう)
Stoma - 気孔(きこう)

I'd say you're right. Stoma, makes no sense in the story's setting. I wonder though, why the author would keep this presumed error consistent, I found it a few pages ahead as well... o.O

What's the policy on correcting apparent mistakes by the author given sufficient evidence?
