    Marisa realized a super serious thing before Valentine's Day, and she's doing her very best.

    Marisa is making chocolate directly from cacao. The process of separation is therefore necessary. (I don't actually know if they use an industrial centrifuge for this)
    Still, this is normal for Marisa, since she needs to separate the chemical substances of certain mushrooms etc, so she would keep an assortment of various equipment at her disposal (and that's good)

    Updated the commentary with new information. If all that's true, then Marisa isn't using the Centrifuge because she's confused, but because she's WAY overdoing it. This is totally in character for her.

    Reimu seems like she's been cheaping out for the last two years, and she knows she's got to fix that, but isn't sure how. This is also in character for her.

    If this is *at least* their third year exchanging valentine chocolate, and Marisa is working this hard for it, then they're definitely long-term girlfriends.
