Usually I (ab)use parent-child relationships for short (<6 posts) series, but this no longer works when the posts are uploaded out-of-order, so I'm using a pool instead.

Wow the german in this pool hurts my eyes xD

    Nobody talks like that.

    For example:

Instead of "Es ist Hauptgeschütz von Prinz Eugen."

It should be "Es ist das Hauptgeschütz von Prinz Eugen."

Or instead of: "Ich werde fähig, Deutsch zu sprechen, als ich die Ausrüstung für Suzuya Eugen angezogen habe."

It should be (and here I have to guess because of the bad german): "Ich wurde fähig Deutsch zu sprechen, als ich Suzuyas Eugen Ausrüstung angezogen habe." And even this is a really strange way to say it.

The "Ich" doesn't really belong there as she is (implicitly) referring to Suzuya, not herself. Japanese drops subjects often when they are implicitly understood, but machine translators (such as the one use by the author on Excite.co.jp) will default to the first-person when they have to pick a subject in the target language.

'Fixed' the German text, but I'm sure I've messed up somewhere too. Especially the "auszustatten" bit, I always get confused by separable prefixes especially when used as part of subordinating clauses and with the zu/Infinitiv Aktiv form.

Feel free to edit the notes.

Edit: zu/Infinitiv Aktiv would be totally inappropriate (and sounds odd), so I just switched over to a simple subordinating clause with "als". Or would "während" work better?

I do have to say I kind of like how it often seems like Chikuma can do almost anything, so long as it's required to embarrass or upstage Tone.

GOO-ten MOR-gen! Phonetic transcription for "guten Morgen" Ger: Good morning.
Hihihi. Schwesterlein, dein besorgter Gesichtsausdruck ist ja mal richtig süß. (Hehehe, Nee-san's troubled face is cute too.)
Suzuya has entered the docks, so I shall be granted the honor of using Eugen's main cannon for now.
I am getting even stronger than the likes of Chikuma, that I'll be!
Guten Morgen, Schwesterlein. (Good morning, Nee-san.)
Das ist die Hauptbewaffnung des Prinz Eugen, ja? Ach, du hast Deutsch gesprochen, ja! (That's Eugen-san's main cannon, right? And that was German you're speaking just now, yes?)

Das Gleiche trifft auf Frau Suzuya zu. Sie konnte Deutsch sprechen, als sie Eugens Ausrüstung angezogen hatte. (Suzuya-san pulled off the same thing right? Seems like she was able to speak German with Eugen-san's rigging equipped.)
