Fun trivia: the word "yaoi" didn't exist yet back in WWII, so there was nothing to prevent the IJN from naming a sub "I-801".

Fun story: There's a US fighting game player who goes by the name 801 Strider. He was going up against Kazunoko, a japanese player and one of the best in the world, and when asked about the match later Kazunoko's response was like "What? Yaoi Strider?" Poor Strider didn't make much of an impression past his funny name, it seems.

Despite all this, "Yaoi-chan" seems to get put into yuri situations a lot.
