Toons

We seem to have inherited quite a lot of toons content (in particular, superhero art) from the old danbooru. I always considered the lack of a hard and fast rule against them a big flaw in moderation, but I could never successfully get it to be acknowledged. So, should pics like post #70811 or post #87844 be banned and eligible for instant deletion?

(Btw, there are posts tagged with "dc_comics" that are fine danbooru content, like post #94535, or post #94539, those should be left alone)

I'm failing to see the problem with either of those posts.

In my opinion, virtually everything tagged comerotica can be deleted, most of them are pretty bad. Even if they're not bad, they're completely irrelevant to what we want on danbooru.

Geh, can't see either one ~.~

I think there's definitely some sweet work by Japanese artists out there that I would like to see kept, such as Kia Asamiya's Batman artwork and fanart like this:

Well, the teen titans one makes me want to claw out my eyes >_> I'd have to be in a very generous mood to accept that if it were uploaded today, and even if I did accept it, no doubt someone would complain.

No toons is probably a good general rule, the problem is where you draw the line in the sand, as it were. I don't know what the rule application should be in that case.

Actually I was going to include that as an example of "keep those", but ultimately took that other one. IMHO it's firmly in the danbooru land and not the cold and lonely deleted land. Though I'm pretty scared by "Kia Asamiya's artwork" and "pretty sweet" being mentioned in the same sentence.

post #70811 is okay. post #87844 is terrible.
