New Wiki Standard?: Equivalent Pixiv tags

Posted under General

Haven't noticed it in a brief glance through some of the howto of the wiki, but could we make it a standard to include any equivalent tags for Pixiv (and/or other foreign language sites) in the wikis for our tags? This request comes specifically from me being interested in finding any "young" images of characters, but I wouldn't know what tag to use on our favorite Source:.

Pixiv translation plus runs just fine on Opera, I've been using it for some time now. Just follow the instructions on Log's link.

IIRC the script's filename needs to be just "user.js" instead of simply ending in "user.js" though, contrary to what that guy says. Or maybe that was only for older versions of Opera? Anyways, you'll figure it out.

The thread title made it seem like an official policy being pushed out.

Honestly though, Pixiv has a load of tags which just aren't danbooru-appropriate; just tagging based on image is sufficient, no need to bother with the pixiv tags unless they cite a series/character reference which you somehow missed.

This was my impression too. I find that a little bit tacky.

That aside, I like the idea of trying to include equivalent Pixiv tags whenever you see them.

Were there are rough 1:1 equivalent I wouldn't mind seeing Pixiv tags in the wiki descriptions. At one time I thought of compiling and publishing something similar (though Pixiv Translation Plus does most of it now). I still think it'd be useful for general users who don't make use of the extension to see them in the description here.
