There is currently a single picture under the_rape_filter, but this is pretty much like recording. SHould this tag be kept?

From what I found, the rape filter is merely the addition of a camera view that's recording, to make it seem like you're raping the person. that's all. Just the addition of the camera recording.

It's still a visual element and a tag would provide information that a layer has been placed over the image to make it appear like seeing through a viewfinder or whatnot. It may be that an artist provides both a version with and without the viewfinder, and so a specific tag for it might be worthwhile instead of having to perform a less accurate tag combination search of some sort.
Actually I was referring more to perhaps having a tag like this more so for images which aren't photoshops. Ex: post #731208 and post #534754. Of course the name of the tag doesn't have to be the_rape_filter, and I'd actually support more an alternative name.
In that case, i'd be of the same advice as Renim, as long as the original image was not altered by a third party, but it still look a lot like viewfinder. in case the artist added a viewfinder himself, wouldn't it be enough to just parent the two posts?
Well, the thing is a meme, and the original shape seems to be to place it on top of any image to give it a rapey vibe. However that picture in the OP seems to be an original that the artist placed this "rape filter" on himself. I think it would only apply for this specific thing, otherwise it'd just be viewfinder or something similar, as Nials says. But that specific red one with the time 15:23 etc. seems to be a meme. (Though, it should still imply viewfinder, I suppose)
Anyway, I certainly wouldn't be devastated to see it merged into viewfinder, as I'm pretty much guaranteed never to need to find that meme after this discussion. Just saying what the policy is when it comes to memes generally.
In a case where a more generic tag would work just as well, it should always trump a meme tag.
Given that viewfinder already exists I don't think there is any need for the rape filter tag.
