about:score page is missing

I haven't been here very long, so I was wondering what effect score has on an image, as well as restrictions on up/down-votes, but the page seems to have been lost.

Score doesn't affect the image itself, but it's used to determine which images show on the popular pages. You can also use the order:score tag (in combination with other tags if you want) to order posts by the highest scoring first. You have to be Privileged status or higher to vote, and those users can only vote once (either up or down) per image.

Basically a high or low score simply shows how many people like or hate an image. It has no direct affect on the whether an image will be approved or not.

Regardless of score 1000 or -1000 if the mods like an image it will be approved. If they do not, it will not be approved.

Also only privileged and up can score images.

To nitpick, that's not entirely true, as post (and comment) votes older than two weeks get purged regularly in Danbooru's backend.

This pretty much allows everyone with voting privileges to re-vote on posts they've already voted on every two weeks, contrary to the notion (as documented on the site) that you can only vote once.

A high score, for some mods, may factor into their decision to approve a posts. Although it depends on the subject matter. Things sexual in nature tend to have higher scores along with things that are cute. I'd imagine if you combine the two, the score would be high on principle.
