One thing is what to do with ぢ and づ - they make more sense as "ji" and "zu" in my opinion since that is closest to how they're pronounced. I've seen things tagged differently on Danbooru, such as with the main character of Tonagura being "Arisaka Kadzuki". Is it OK to change these?

Most definitely yes. "dzi"/"di" and "dzu"/"du" are another example of random inconsistent conventions that have very little to do with the actual state of things, this time in the name of consistency with how you write kana. Modified hepburn explicitly assigns them "ji" and "zu", the same as with じ and ず, as that's their phonetic value. If you see them, either change them or report for a mass edit if they're big enough.

Wait... you're saying I can't say "connnitiha, syounennsyouzyotati"? D: waapuro hater... I mean wa-puro[f7] hater D:

My pet hate is romanizing おう as oo. I have at least one Japanese learning book that does that.
One good example of mixed o's is Ookouchi Akira. And I'll be darned if most of her images aren't tagged "okouchi_akira". I'll fix that now.

I'm not sure what you mean when you differentiate 'o' and 'お' (they're the same thing), but see page two - 遠坂 = とおさか = to-o-sa-ka.

Yeah, it looks kinda dumb and nobody uses it, but it's correct ::shrugs:: Again, that's why I said I'm not adverse to some exceptions, but I'm fine either way.

I meant non-moraic 'o'.

Anyway, there are only a few other uses of 'oo' like this (none with more than 5 images) and I'm pretty sure it'll attract random passersby who will go "this is stupid" and try to change it, even if it is the right way to read 'too'.

re-added tohsaka as a tag alias since this confuses 100% of people on IRC

"re-added"? What do you mean? I submitted an alias from tohsaka to toosaka, not mass-edited it, so it should've been aliased already.

("too" still looks really, really stupid, though... aren't they using "h" after "o" but not after お?)

You'd have to precise "they". "Oh" is what looks really, really stupid, since it's essentially a random alteration following no consistent rules, as I've pointed out already. If you mean Japanese, they use お or う to lengthen お, last time I checked, there was no "h" in Japanese. Oh, and it only looks stupid to you because the wrong version is so prevalent, sleep on it a bit, and you'll get used to the correct version.
