"Similar Users" issue

The list of "similar users" in one's profile is a good idea, but I would change some implementation details. In particular, it should discredit people from being "similar" if they do not have many favorites at all. Most of the people who are "similar" to me have in the range of one to five favorites, of which I might have favorited two. While that makes us pretty similar by percentage, it doesn't actually help me find other people whose favorites I should pay attention to. I would say you can't appear in other people's 'similar' listings unless you have at least ... 10? 20? favorites.

Albert did factor in # of favorites to how it weighs that, or so I thought. Just maybe it doesn't count for enough? A minimum level would be good though.

Bumping this old thread because I noticed two of my 'similar users' have a grand total of one favorite, two have two favorites, and one has ten favorites (also, all have zero posts.) The feature's rather pointless when it only picks up on a couple of brand-new/infrequent/don't-care-for-the-favorites-feature users who chose to make their paltry favorite or two the same as one of mine, isn't it?
