Tag for 'looping' images?

Is there a tag for images like post #831606 where at least one end connects to the opposite end for a looping effect?

I believe you're looking for tessellation.

tileable and possibly tileable_background.

Also, one of those should probably be aliased to the other.

So alias tileable and tileable_background to tessellation? Do we care about the directionality? Should we rename it to something more accurate (because, strictly speaking, I think this is more on the order of translational symmetry than tessellation)?

If we're not 100% sure we're using tessellation in its strict definition, then I'd prefer a less technical term like tileable.

I'll alias to that for now, we can always change it later.
