mystia_lorelei + tasuki?

I'm not sure Mystia will always have tasuki when wearing these clothes...

EDIT: Rather, make a tag for the clothes themselves so they are not specific to Mystia.

But the point is making a specific tag for this Mysty?

It's not instinctual, whenever I want to search or upload an image for that pool I have to search for the pool to see its number again.

And since this is a tag-able concept, why do we have to use pool anyway? It's not nice for searching, and there's no arrangement criteria needed.

Chiming in since I created that pool. My original intent was to distinguish between Mystia dressed as in post #376471 vs other generic mystia_lorelei japanese_clothes, but the tables have kind of turned with how popular it's turned out -- now it's become harder to find Mystia in other japanese_clothes instead, since pools don't do negated search, as evazion points out.

There is a problem with how the pool is not strictly defined (my bad), plus I gave up policing it, so it now contains a mix of:

  • Mystia in that outfit
  • Mystia running her food stand/cart/grill
  • Mystia with eel or other food, on skewers or not
  • some combination of the above

As well as posts referencing only the location which I would not consider part of the pool if I were still trying to maintain it.

If we are going to convert this pool to tag(s) I would prefer to see the outfit and the stand being tagged separately. Makes for much cleaner searching if you want strictly this outfit (and not, say, food stand but canon outfit).

Pixiv has a rather witty tag 「おかみすちー」 which I would propose using for the outfit, similar to inu_sakuya. Unfortunately it is rather tacky when romanized okamisuchii? okamisty?

As for the stall, it was brought up in forum #43277 but not much discussion took place. Apparently, grill is also in use.

How's about treating this matter as a meme? After all, these images are other artists' playing along with torinone's designs.

As such view, any post with reference to this meme will get a general tag - okamisty for example.

The advantages of this consensus tag is that the pool will not be sacrificed, just get converted to a tag. If someone want to specifically find pictures of Mystia in that outfit: okamisty japanese_clothes. Pictures of Mystia running the store with or without her visual presence: okamisty food_stand or okamisty grill, can do -japanese_clothes in the search too to cross out her presence.

With this, post #787385 as jjj14 pointed out can be tagged with okamisty and searched by combining with food, or skewer.

I agree okamisty sounds nice, it's short, and in sync with pixiv tag.

If we're looking for precedent, I personally still think this case is closest to a "character variant" along the lines of inu sakuya. I don't feel that it is appropriate to treat it as a meme or parody or copyright.

One observation: the pool has evolved into quite the free-for-all that means different things to different people, so rather than a one-off change, it may be less disruptive if we start by phasing in better tagging, do some tag gardening, and finally phase out the pool when the new tags are well established.

Until now seems like everyone agree to turn this pool to a tag.

If there's no objection, I'm going ahead to tag only images of Mystia in this outfit with okamisty. Images without her presence can be covered by grill, food_stand, yatai, skewer, or food. I just realize it's true not to include everything in a same tag - Mystia has a grilled lamprey stand is canon, not necessarily spawned from toritone's idea.

Pool description will be moved to wiki, and replaced with a mention about the new tag. As r0d3n7z suggested, let's give it a week for people to notice, then we will nuke the pool.
