Clearly my memory is bad, but I thought we had a tag like gravity_defying or something.
There's space hair. I don't think there's a tag for objects other than hair.
Not sure how I missed it, but it seems I was thinking of anti-gravity.
Not sure the sudden need to put that in all caps, especially without a reason explaining why such a term shouldn't be used. I was only bringing up that that was the tag I appeared to had been remembering that someone else used.
I think "gravity_defying" would be better than anti-gravity though. The images under anti-gravity appear to be covering space hair with one example that falls under and is already tagged zero gravity.
This was discussed not too long ago (forum #43209).
We use floating as the umbrella tag, with floating_X as the specific.
e.g. floating hair for the gravity-defying hair effects.
I would much rather use "floating" than "gravity" or "space" when it comes to objects seemingly disobeying the law of gravity. Of course that would also mean a very high probability of some dimwit requesting floating_* -> floating implications.
As for the OP post, I don't even consider that towel to be floating. It's a static snapshot of a dynamic action.

How about mass editing the current floating tag to something like "levitation", clearing the way for floating as an umbrella tag for objects of any sort?

There is no set of motions that would result in the girl in that pose, the towel floating in that position, and her hair hanging like that.
Personally, I motion for a floating_clothes or levitating_clothes tag and to remove/replace the anti-gravity tag as it seems like it would be better repurposed towards anti-grav machinery or equipment.

I don't see the need of an umbrella tag except to satisfy some users' obsessive-compulsive desire to have every single tag in a gigantic tree of hierarchies.

A sudden stop? Arm movement to drink the milk? Wind blowing in the background? Maybe if there were evidence of magic or something that's keeping the towel afloat I'd be inclined to agree with you, but I think you're looking way too much into what amounts to goofy anime physics.

Nah. Her hair and the towel don't match up for the first & third to work, and the second doesn't make sense given where her arms are. (Why's her left side flared out unless she randomly flicked it to match?) It's goofy anime physics indeed, and that's what I want to tag.
But I'm really suggesting a tag for more than just this one image. It's not like mysteriously floating ribbons and other clothing items aren't common enough elsewhere to merit a tag.
