She is a background character, and her name hasn't been mentioned in the show itself (and may never be). We might as well consider "Akane" by itself a spoiler too if we were going to be that strict about it.

To my knowledge, Kon doesn't have any potential plot-twists involving akane, although in all sincerity, I may be mistaken.

I don't see anything in that post that specifies the reading as "Satou". Are you just assuming the most common reading of those kanji or is the reading specified somewhere else?

Edit: I found a NicoNicoPedia entry that says サトウアカネ and a Pixiv Encyclopedia entry that says さとうあかね but I'm not sure how reliable these sorts of things are.

佐藤 is a very common (the most common according to English Wikipedia) Japanese family name that is almost always read "Satou". I seriously doubt that KyoAni wanted to do anything unusual with her name. I don't think any of the 3-2 background characters that have confirmed names actually have confirmed readings, anyway (we've assumed the most common name on all of them), aside from those written in hiragana or katakana where it's obvious.

Oh, well, never mind then.

Well, how about that. I hadn't heard anything about the mob characters names for a while (I assume that subtitles have become less helpful for identification, or else the fans have begun to pay less attention to such things.) Good for you, Akane!

The BDs for !! are including little inserts that give brief profiles and full names for the 'extras', so we should be able to do quite a lot of them eventually.
