I'm going to stick up for this one because the japanese character names are nameko, jii, manami, chitose, yoneko, deijii, melodi/melody, ruri, annu, and ozawa rina. Almost all of these are in use, albeit by rather minor characters/artists, only the last is particularly unique, and I really do hate qualifiers when unnecessary.
(Note that I can't say 1:1 which character is which except for rina but that's all the main characters and the ones represented here should be among that list.)

osawari tantei would be the correct tag to use, then.
How will the names be done?

We use Japanese titles as a rule, I don't see how going against it makes anything correct.
There's some exception for established video game titles (the_legend_of_zelda instead of zelda_no_desetsu), and I think a case has been or may be made either way that because the names are mostly Japanesey, the title should remain Japanese (esp. with the divergent titling in English territories), but because those said names are mostly used for artists already, switching over to English ones could avoid rampant qualifiers.
There's no reason to avoid qualifiers that I can see, honestly.
Aliased to Japanese.

Good example of one reason why we prefer to just use the original name. No favoring one region over another, except for the region of origin. And it's quite reasonable to favor that one.
