How to delete my upload if I post something wrong?

You can't delete your own posts. Only Approvers and above can manually delete a post.

In your case, you have to wait for 3 days for your post to be deleted.

Even those are just the usual soft deletions, only admins can hard delete (expunge) posts, which is only done for illegal content.

sorry to add on but just found this thread; I have an unposted upload where I had the wrong link copied to my clipboard.

It's an irl picture of someone and would be considered "off topic content" per the upload rules. I don't want to actually post it and then have it deleted, because I don't want any negative actions against my account and I'd feel stupid posting something clearly not related to the site. Is there any way to message the mods to tell them I pasted the wrong link and need the draft deleted? or does it just sit in my drafts forever unposted? :/

Send a DMail to one of the admins (the ones with the red usernames). They are the only ones that can permanently delete uploaded files.

They wont delete it, I had a similar situation and they dont care unless it could be considered non consensual porn or something else illegal under US law.

For some reason, I assumed they were talking about a personal image, but it does sound more like a random photo found online when reading it again.

If the photo is of someone underage, you can still ask the admins to delete it since they're not even allowed as media assets.

Those "drafts" are still public btw, but probably won't be accessed by virtue of the url being somewhat random. I don't think they're indexed by google either.

If you uploaded a picture of yourself, you can probably fill out the same dmca form. If it was a random person I don't think you can force them to delete, unless it was a minor under 13 (where COPPA will apply), you'll just have to ignore it and never post.

Yeah, literally just a random picture from twitter of an irl person (like a thirst trap, not nude) that I meant to link to my friend instead! Realized as soon as I pasted the link that it wasn't the cute anime girl art I had up on another tab, lol. That is pretty annoying that it can't be deleted even if it's just a stupid mistake, but thank you for the input!
