Macross Zero character. Based off info from ANN and Wikipedia (which says the official Macross Zero website states that this character's name is Romanized as "Shin Kudou." The text in http://www.macross.co.jp/zero/ is garbled for me, no matter what encoding I switch my browser to).

I get the garble on that site too, but his name is definitely kudou_shin. The Japanese spelling is 工藤 -> くどう -> Kudou.
Tha garbled text is due to language rendering issues in flash player. A workaround that I use in win XP + firefox 3.5 is to run firefox using applocale, set to Japanese (thereby fooling flash player to render text in Japanese encoding by default).
The official site confirms "Kudou".
