honestly, i'd say that's more of a case in favor of renaming reflective water to reflective liquid, in the same vein as standing on liquid, floating liquid etc.

Which would be preferable, gardening out the non-water posts like what Popkornikus shared and implying water, or renaming the tag and no implication?
i'd say rename the tag. it'll be annoying to keep up with untagged water, as i imagine is the case with most of the *liquid* tags, but i can't find any examples of a liquid tag having a water-specific counterpart. in fact, some water tags are aliased to liquid tags, like the aforementioned standing on liquid.
and water tags that don't have liquid counterparts share the same problem as reflective water - there's sitting on water with post #5960 and lying on water with post #5571550.

Let's try this then. Like wingdings said, some water tags are aliased to their liquid counterparts. This may also be more helpful for people later on who are looking for reflective water than a rename without an alias will be.
I'm not really a fan of trying to make tag names too abstract to account for all corner cases because it leads to tag names that are really awkward and unintuitive. Next we'll have things like shallow liquid and bucket of liquid and liquid drop (instead of shallow water, bucket of water, and water drop) and it will be hard to understand what they're even for. That said, we already have standing on liquid, walking on liquid, petals on liquid, lantern on liquid, etc, so I guess this is the route we're taking.
