Earlier, someone went through Shiver's posts, mass removed hachimaki from them, and added a picture of her in the "incorrect examples" section of the nejiri hachimaki wiki on the basis that her hachimaki is located on her hair and does not cover her forehead, even though it clearly looks like a hachimaki and is supposed to be one. The Splatoon wiki calls it a hachimaki, and so do the Japanese themselves if you search the character's name along with hachimaki. Since Shiver's case shows that hachimaki isn't necessarily going to be worn around the forehead, I am requesting the hachimaki -> headband implication to be removed. Or maybe we should reconsider whether a headband must be tied around the forehead to count as a headband instead.

This BUR was proposed over a year ago and went 6/0, but then got completely ignored and auto-rejected. Proposing it again because it's still true.

remove implication nejiri_hachimaki -> hachimaki

They're similar in name, but the nejiri hachimaki looks different and is worn in slightly different ways and contexts from regular hachimaki. Even in the real world, nejiri hachimaki aren't always worn on the forehead (see real-world examples like this, or post #9069689 for an in-site example that looks more like a hairband). I honestly don't see why one has to implicate the other. I think this is a neater solution, but I support either.

this is a terrible argument imo

it's like saying the implication that boot is a shoe should be removed because Soldier (Tf2) wore it as a hat...

same problem tbh. i don't think it's a good idea to remove an implication that works in 99.9% of the cases because 1 artist thought it would be funny to draw a headband as a hairband once... also... if you think about it... you can wear any headband like a hairband if you want so every headband implication is 1 funny post away of getting BUR'd

wouldn't it be easier to just tag those hachimaki_hair_ornament instead?

huh... weird i thought boots were shoes.

okay so what if there was a post of someone wearing baseball cap like a glove? would that be an argument for removing the implication that a baseball cap is a hat?

if this isn't a headband and it isn't a hair ornament then what is this? a hat?
