Tag exclusion search leads to error

While going through serveral search queries, that were suggested by evarizon in forum #31867 I noticed some oddities.

width:>=1600 -highres leads to a "You cannot search for only excluded tags" error message while width:>=3200 -absurdres does not.

height:>=2400 -absurdres and height:>=1200 -highres give me both a "You cannot search for only excluded tags" error message.

There are already two thread about that topic ( http://danbooru.donmai.us/forum/search?query=You+cannot+search+for+only+excluded+tags ) and a a Trac Ticket for that ( http://trac.donmai.us/ticket/1046 ), but as far as I can see these only share some symptoms with this error.

This issues occur for a member level account.

Odd, all work for me fine. I guess the server is returning an error for "DB overloaded", but it's reported incorrectly. Somehow this kind of behaviour seems to be the rule, not an exception.

I thought exclusion searches (or exclusion searches with a metatag) were intentionally off for member level accounts? Not sure though.

I believe it's true for true exclusion searches, but that albert corrected it not to count metatags as exclusions at some point.

I've tried the queries again and now they are working. Maybe the database was bogus and fixed due the last downbooru time?

It might be due to caching. If one rank has access to a type of query the other doesn't, but the more privileged rank queries something first and causes it to be cached, the less privileged may still have access to that cache (since the prohibited query itself doesn't need to be run again).

This is just speculation, I'm not sure exactly how Danbooru result caching is done at the moment.
