Bug with navigation to favorite posts?

Posted under General

Browse to any post here on Danbooru, and a sub-section for 'Posts' should appear near the top. One of the links should be labeled "Favorites".

If you click it, it takes you to the Help page on how to use favorites. Should it not take you to your recently favorited posts instead?

If it is this way by design, then I think it should be changed; I don't think most people expect or want to be taken to a Help page when they click that link (I know I certainly don't).

Thanks.

Late Edit: Well, looks like it's been fixed now: Clicking on 'Favorites' (as well as 'Subscriptions') now takes you to the proper URL, instead of a Help page.

Actually, wait, I am mistaken. Looks like I just have a privileged account now. Thanks ่‘‰ๆœˆ :]

Well, you seem to have a Privileged account - and from what I know (and from checking Danbooru's source code), Danbooru alters some aspects of how the site is displayed, depending on your status.

I figured that since I'm just a regular Member, that this might be an issue/bug that is only visible to users with my status -- and may have been quite possibly overlooked. This is also why I mentioned this in my original post.

I have the source code for Danbooru on me right now, so I'll go and check this out for myself, actually.

Edit: Yeah, found it, in '/app/view/post/_footer.html.erb'.

At this rate, it looks like it's this way purely by design; guess that's what I get for being a jerk and not donating $20 =3

How strange -- it /does take me to the Help page on a regular account... oh, I see you've found the code thing.

I don't see how that makes sense, though. "Donate $20 and we'll give you a link directly to your Favorites, which you can access pretty easily anyway!" Might it not be an artifact of some previous system that was accidentally left unchanged? Or something?

Yeah, I'm not sure if it's on purpose, or just an oversight. Though, I'm leaning a little more towards the latter, since whoever develops/maintains the Danbooru software probably has a privileged account, so it may have just been overlooked completely. Looks to me like this might just be a relic.

But oh well, nothing a user script can't fix.

It probably got messed up last time albert did a revision.

It's actually been this way for as long as I can remember, but it didn't bothered me so I never really thought anything of it.

Anyway, Albert said it's been fixed in the trac ticket but it still seems to be broken. I'm guessing it takes some time to go into effect?

EDIT: Yeah, it's working now.
