disco_pose and saturday_night_fever

disco_pose and saturday_night_fever: looks like we can collapse them under the latter tag with an alias.

Yes, I accidentally created disco_pose before I discovered saturday_night_fever and forgot to cleanup. It makes sense to alias them, though, as SNF is not *really* obvious and it's inconsistent with some other *pose tags we have.

Alias in which direction? I'm fine with either.

I'd go with disco_pose, myself.

Its basically a meme, and the meme is "Saturday Night Fever"...but I don't really care.

I first learned of that pose from seeing Saturday Night Fever as a very young kid, so I'm in favor of that.

Choosing the more simple/intuitive tag is probably a better idea.

Though, since saturday_night_fever is basically just the term "disco pose" turned into a meme... it should probably be nuked all-together, in my opinion. But I guess I can only say that because I've never heard of it before, and it has no value to me.

I'm also in favour of saturday_night_fever.

Mash them together and call it disco_fever then. But saturday night fever is fine, too.

Guess it's pretty strongly for snf. Done.

I second Hazuki here. The amount of tag nuking proposals here as of late bothers me a lot.

It's not like I'm calling any shots, here. And there's a reason I said "in my opinion" (edit: Sorry if it looks like I'm angry here. That's what happens without emotes =P).

But honestly, just think about it: It's a tag called saturday_night_fever - and I'm sure there are many others (like me) who have no idea what it means. Why keep the tag if it's only relevant to (what I assume is) a few people?

But just for the sake of picking a side, I'd go for "nuke, then alias".

Hmm, looks like I made a boo-boo - I just realized that disco_pose was aliased to saturday_night_fever (thought they were both separate tags, for some inane reason).

In that case, I'm still in favor of replacing the SNF tag completely with disco_pose, and then aliasing it to that.

But ahh, still, my mistake.

I guess this thing is already resolved, but I'll put a +1 for saturday_night_fever in either case - It might be slightly less intuitive for someone who's never seen/heard of the movie, but is actually more descriptive otherwise since it refers to the specific orgin of the thing. That, and I guess I generally have a slight bias for keeping older "established" tags over new ones.

Also, aliases don't quite work that way.

Slightly off-topic here: But what's the general age-range of most of the people here? I have absolutely no idea how old any of you guys are (this fool is but 18 years old).

And I'm gonna have to watch that movie now, 'cause I feel bad for not knowing about it. =\
