Oddly, images seem to load as Tags, before the image actually loads.

It's not that, the frame of the image doesn't load first like it used to.
Dunno if that's important, but the whole site has been really slow for me (timeouts, thumbnails not loading, etch.) It's the slowest I've ever seen it.
I hadn't noticed anything over the weekend the few times I was on, but then I was on a dial-up connection.
Now that I'm on a better connection, it seems to be about the same speed and reliability as it was then (though images load faster when they don't stall out).
I wonder if someone is externally doing something to cause this to happen so suddenly. It also seems to be time/traffic sensitive, since it was much faster/reliable last night, than it is now.
I believe the issue is with the recent upswing in user registrations, bandwidth throttling isn't as effective and the server was getting swamped with connections. I previously had KeepAlive disabled in Apache but I guess the server gets enough connections now to make it worthwhile. Currently set it to 2 seconds and boosted the number of worker processes but I'm not sure if this'll be enough. If anyone is familiar with fine tuning TCP settings on a Linux server please offer some suggestions.
You can see the Apache status here: http://donmai.us/server-status
Better now than during the weekend, but not like it used to be.
Also, more than half of the problem is "Connecting to Danbooru" takes long and may fail altogether. When -- and if -- the data transfer starts, I know I am past the worst of it.
Running Iceweasel 2.0.0.3 on Debian.
The influx of new members (like myself) is huge, so I have been more worried about the near future than annoyed.
