How did I get negative points on my posted pics

Can someone explain to me why I'm getting negatives points on my pictures?

Because they're awful.

It's subjective of course but they just don't seem to be drawn well. Plus Naruto hentai in general tends to be kinda bad.

Its because people who didn't like them voted them down, and people who did like them cannot vote.

It was changed mainly because the voting sistem was too easy to game as it was.

Sure. As soon as you start posting good quality pics. Heck, even decent-ish quality would be an improvement.

Why care about score anyways? It's extremely subjective at best. People who hate a particular subject will sometimes down vote merely because they don't like it, not judging by the quality of art. Scoring ain't a contest on Danbooru.

If it's a number, and it's on the internet, it's a contest. But that's a good thing for us. We want people viewing it as a contest, as motivation to post good images and think twice before uploading shitty ones.

Hm, well there's always the trolls who just post shitty stuff and ignore the score. But eh, that's the internet. I guess most people should ideally aim for at least a zero score.

I really think that people should post stuff that they think will get a positive score.

0 score posts are boring.

Well, positive scores are nice but as I mentioned, people tend to just down vote a lot more than upvote. Especially Touhou explicit pictures.

No, I don't think so. Out of the 432,327 posts on Danbooru at the time as I write this, 283,099 posts (65%) have positive scores, a further 147,395 (34%) have a score of zero, and only 1833 posts (0.42%) have negative scores. That wasn't counting the 23851 deleted posts which probably have mostly negative scores, bringing that total up to, at best, a whopping 5.6%.

Statistically speaking, if a post is getting a negative score it's not because more people vote down than vote up. It probably is because it deserves it.

I am curious about this too... 27 people have favorited the post I made... Yet it has a -3 score... (as of this post).

Does score have a point? Aside from being a subjective meter of opinion (which is fine)...

Also is there a way to sort tags based on image scores?
