List of images with fewest tags.

Posted under General

Is there some list of images with the fewest tags somewhere? Or, if there's too many images with very few tags out there, some button to push to get a few images with less than X tags at random?

Mainly, I'm asking because that way, when I'm bored, I could go to that list or push that button, and get a bunch of images that probably need more tags, then tag them. Sure, there's the tagme tag, but that requires that someone knew to put it there, and if an image hasn't gotten much attention, there's a good chance it hasn't gotten that tag, either...

Hmm, some of those are legit. I wonder if things like arancia and chidejika or artist specific characters like arima_senne should get original as a rule. I know I've done it with the mof girl.

Edit: Er, huh, is that search ignoring original? I just checked a bunch that did have original on them.

That's a large list... if only I could sort them by URL and focus on the ones with the most posts.

Assuming the search ran correctly, it's quite impressive that that brings up zero hits.

Maybe it takes a little while for new images to get the counts applied? I went back to early ones, past page 350, and checked about 50 at random and every single one was missing an artist. But you're right that a lot of what I checked on page 1 had an artist.

True... otherwise every single tag change would need to be separately logged in the count tables, which I guess is resource intensive and probably why albert was reluctant to do this in the first place.

Albert, do you have a little more insight into how this works? Particularly the issue of how tags that are added later get counted, and how often, if at all. I know some people upload with minimal tags and then add after upload (because they prefer the interface, or made a typo, or remembered something to add, etc) so if after-upload changes aren't taken into effect it could be an issue.

I think things should be tagged a lot more thoroughly than some people do.

character series and artist i feel is not enough.

You say artist, character and series is not enough, what else would be needed to be enough?

Some pics are simple enough not to warrant many tags.

If they are simple, just add a few "general" tags, if they are complex, add more. It's not that hard...

It's not hard and fast, or official but for me to consider a post I'm tagging "thoroughly tagged" it has to have the artist (if known or findable), the series (or original), each of the characters present and some of the basic descriptive tags for each of them (hair color, hair length, eye color), then I try to add any salient general tags that are overtly featured.

Anything beyond the basics isn't strictly necessary, but the more relevant tags listed the better. Irrelevant tags though (say for something that is barely visible) should be avoided, however.

There is no accepted "thoroughly tagged" threshold, but char/copy and ideally art constitute a general minimum for participating in this community as a helpful user. A couple general tags, as appropriate, are also desired. Especially if the image is an original character.
