Tag Implication: incredibly_absurdres -> absurdres

Posted under General

We used to have insaneres. Then we decided that three levels of resolution tags was unnecessarily granular, and aliased insaneres to absurdres. And now we have three resolution tags again, except this time the third one has a stupidly long name? What happened?

Really, with those images, it's not the resolution that's getting most people in the twist; it's the filesize.

And that gets covered (for the most part) with huge_filesize. At least it's an indicator to the average user that it's going to be a semi-long wait for that particular image to load.

That said, the 100MB image from a few days ago really was quite silly.

I have no idea. Personally, I agree that we only need two.

Speaking of the highres, absurdres, etc tags...shouldn't we change them to "high_resolution", "absurd_resolution", etc? Maybe as aliases since highres, etc have been in use on Danbooru for so long, but using the full words and not running them together fits better with the way virtually all other tags are done.
