Remove tags "holding_shield" and "holding" when the shield is not actually being held

If that's OK, I would like to remove the tags holding_shield and holding from posts where the shield is merely equipped in the arm, not actually being held.

(Or at least when you can't see enough of the image to tell if the shield is actually being held... Tag what you see.)

For example, I would like to remove these tags from the posts below. (Obviously I would keep holding if there's anything else being held.)

I suggest replacing holding_shield by wielding_shield. (Or maybe equipped_shield?)

Actual examples of people visibly holding shields would keep the tag holding_shield:

Eventually I'd like to suggest implying holding_shield -> holding, when all instances of holding_shield are just shields actually being held.

This is just an idea, please let me know what you think.

Current tag count:

I could be wrong, but it seems most posts with a shield show someone wielding the shields, not just a shield lying around.

So even if we are using holding_shield for posts where the shield is merely equipped in the arm, it's a very underpopulated tag.

I guess this makes easier the job of cleaning up that tag and leaving holding_shield with just shields actually being held.

A better tag for classification would be arm_shield for most of those examples you provided. The other examples within the top half are ambiguous since you cannot see whether the character is actually holding the shield itself or rather having a shield strapped to their arms. Assumptions are always the worst enemy when coming to tagging correctly anyhow.

I like arm_shield. I believe it would fit posts like:

I agree, some examples are ambiguous as you said. I believe some ambiguous posts like that would be:

Perhaps the ambiguous posts shouldn't have either holding_shield or arm_shield.

To state the obvious, we already have the shield tag for all instances of shields in any context. We probably should use holding_shield or arm_shield only when we're sure they accurately represent what's happening in the post.
