The tag hair_tucking is only for characters currently tucking their hair behind their ears. This is confusing and a little too specific.

How can a tag be "too specific" when it applies to over fifteen hundred posts? Hair tucking is a common enough gesture in anime artwork that it undoubtedly deserves its own tag. If you find this tag confusing, please elaborate on what's confusing about it, because a wiki rewrite might help clear things up.

Also, while I see no immediately obvious problem with the adjusting hair implication, implicating hair behind ear is a no-go. A character depicted in the act of brushing her hair away from her face may not have her hair behind either ear; see post #2771054 or post #3033168 for examples. The need to draw a line between ongoing action and a completed action (forum #100382) is enough reason to deny this implication. Furthermore, such an implication would utterly overwhelm the (brand-new, with only five posts as of this reply) hair behind ear tag and render it practically irrelevant.

Adjusting hair is meant to be mutually exclusive with hair tuck according to the wiki definition.

How about
hair_behind_ear -> ear

And for that matter, an alias for ear and ears

Is there a resolution to this topic? I was adding tags to post #3382791 which was tagged with adjusting hair, but the action was hair tucking. Most of the time I see posts that involve that action they're only tagged with adjusting hair, which sounds more like tying hair to me.
