Wakamezake is an act of drinking sake from a woman's body.

TO do a shushing, naturally the index finger will be raised in front of the mouth.

That sounds like a real stretch there, unless you're literally missing an index finger. I know there are a handful of people that use their middle finger for things, but are far and few between. I believe the index finger shush is used globally enough from what I've seen that the implication can be made.

Still, I can see why one might not want to implicate it, and that's fine too, but in general drawings are done idealistically, and idealistically, drawings aren't missing digits on their hands.
