I kinda like this artist's world. The modern day mixed with the occult where the gods are not only real but part of daily life to the point that one of your classes is summoning a deity. It's freaky, but intriguing.

Doubt it is a "god" but more like an outsider akin to the Pathfinder universe, where one can be benevolent or another hungry monster from another dimension.

A world in which gods and youkai use the public transit system... not sure if that would be an interesting or terrifying world to live in.

I mean, we wouldn’t have nukes. Probably because gods would be enough…

Sadly such a mentality isn't abnormal. Apparently when desegregation happened in the US, many white communities preferred impoverishing themselves by destroying public facilities such as public pools than allow blacks to also use them.

Sisters and fellow granddaughters of Perry Steam Kurofune.

Not sure why the Donna and Mirako eardecs though? I guess Normcore is distinctly related to Mirako (Northern Dancer line) and likewise Chrono Genesis with Gentildonna (Sunday Silence), but then again Normcore shares the same relation with Donna anyway.

probs just family pedigree connections though it's nice to see Chrono Genesis has the ear covers... she did wore a black mask.

Why is this Miku so cute?

Because very long hair and a giant... whatever that kind of hat is called, that make her look smaller. Like some kind of teal-haired goblin.

I love this so much. This speaks to me. We French Canadians almost always see French culture represented as France in media, almost never as French Canada. And Cowboy Fringants is one of my favorite bands too.

Qu'est ce que tu baragouine, calisse? Les Québécois sont 'achement populaires en France, peut-être pas pris trop au sérieux, mais ils sont de bon chums.

Needs a TL check, ideally someone versed in Quebec dialect and memes. In particular Wiktionary has an entry for câlisse meaning "fuck!", but not côlisse.

"Câlisse" and "Côlisse" are both pronounced roughly the same way anyway, it's just that the latter is a much more exaggerated version of that word. It's basically a catholic swear word. It's from the word "Chalice", but they pronounce "Ch" like a "K". So, a more accurate translation of Quebecois Miku would be "Holy shit- Alain Cote's goals were really good back in '87!"

We should use "Holy shit" instead of any other expletives, because a chalice is deemed as a holy thing within a catholic community.

Yeah, there's a whole system of religion based expletives unique to Quebecois French. They're called the sacres. As an English speaking Canuck from the other side of the country, I think they're neat ^_^

French French: It's not good to take the Lord's name in vain.
Québécois French: Hold my Red Champange.

    ...her career is effectively over

Sinder isn't a corpo vtuber... Oh, who am I kidding after Nijisanji... So far all of these career overs are more reminiscent of "you will lose a few thousands of subscribers" or "you gonna have more haters".

Unless she decides to end her career herself, we have a ton of examples where any drama was not the end of a career, like:
    >Mikeneko situation was so over multiple times that she still have her million of subscribers and her loyal fans.
    >Nijisanji still exists despite everything.
    >Remember how our kettle ended her career... to win Rising Star award the same year?
    >Froot's drama is one of the most persistent. Oh, by the way, the number of her subscribers is still growing.

So far I see that Sinder has lost 8k subscribers out of 352k on her YT channel. That's less than 3% and I'll be honest, the number is bigger than that time when Calli made one comment, but it doesn't look like a serious blow, not to mention something fatal. Of course, give it a couple more weeks and see the final losses, but I'd be very surprised if it's gonna be 20% (70k)... which isn't a fatal blow too. Not to mention that if Sinder apologizes properly to everyone involved then even these 8k subscribers could return to her very quickly.

Mikeneko is a lolcow now. She'll never reclaim the fame and prestige she used to have.
Niji is functionally dead outside of Japan.

Considering how much Shylily, one of the nicest vtubers around, just utterly torched Sinder on X, at best, Sinder can join the ranks of the lolcows. She is done done.

And here I thought she even became more famous after all the drama... As for prestige - it's not a carreer. And should I mention how some people build their careers on a reputation that is far from good or clean?

Niji is functionally dead outside of Japan.

    denauth and by_the_beat.
[sarcasm]You know, they dead in such a way that new generations appear, some of which collect 100k subscribers in one month. Oh, and don't forget the chinese branch and original branch too. And of course, don't forget that dead people can get over 100k views somehow. Maybe Nijisanji is into necromancy?[/sarcasm]

just utterly torched Sinder on twitter

I don't know much about vtubers since I watch clips, but Shylily feels the friendliest to me, does she ever make any comments on stuff like this? Is that why her statement made a bigger impact or is it because she's also a big vtuber? Sorry for asking here, just don't know much.
