Well, at least this break isn't as long as the other one. At least not yet. I've been thinking you'd kind of have to be crazy to expect him to finish this. It's been so long and we're not even done with round 1 yet. Even assuming all the matches will continue to be so one-sided, it'll still take a hell of a long time.

This is true. ..But I'm going to keep hoping. This series is really good.

I'd also point out that "round 1" is going to inherently have more matches than the entire rest of the tourney in a single-elimination tournament. Of course, one would presume individual matches will last longer the further up the chain you go.
I think part of the reason why he's slowed down is the big touhou convention boom going on at this time, between Comiket and Reiteisai, people are busy. We're still waiting on the next Buront comic here.
