asura (mythology)
A mythological race of demonic beings from Indian mythology. They are prominently featured in the Hindu mythology and Buddhism, primarily as a malevolent demonic beings who is in a constant struggle against gods for power. Though a sizeable numbers of benevolent asuras also exists, which is typically depicted as a protector of justice and destroyer of evil.
They are typically depicted with multiple faces (typically four placed around a single head), with each faces often expressing different emotions. As well as extra arms (typically four or eight).
