She has long black hair tied to a ponytail, grey eyes, and small breasts.

Her default outfit consists of a pink kimono top, dark blue hakama skirt, a tasuki, white pantyhose, and rudder footwear patterned off her hull. Her rigging consists of a bow and carries a quiver on her back, plus her real-life flight deck is attached to her left arm.

As she was the world's first ship designed and built as an aircraft carrier to be completed, she is often depicted as a motherly character. She is sometimes seen as the proprietress of a bar or a restaurant, stemming from one of Chitose's hourly lines.
