help:dtext

Intro

DText is the name for Danbooru's custom text formatting language. It's a mishmash of several markdown languages including Textile, MediaWiki, and BBCode.

Inline

[b]strong text[/b]
Makes text bold: example.

[i]italicized text[/i]
Makes text italicized: example.

[s]strikethrough text[/s]
Draws a line through text: example.

[u]underlined text[/u]
Draws a line under text: example.

[tn]translation note[/tn]
Formats text as a translation note for use in commentary translations: Example text.

Note: Although it is discouraged, using more than one of the above opening tags will require the same amount of closing tags to remove the associated styling.

  • Will work: [b][b]Bold text.[/b][/b] Regular text.
  • Won't work: [b][b]Bold text.[/b] Regular text.
