Any image containing exactly one copyrighted or original character. No one else should be visible in the image.

Although the metatag chartags:1 can be used to find most such cases, solo can be used to distinguish a single unnamed or cosplaying character (among other things).

The following situations do not warrant use of this tag (the solo focus tag should be used instead):

• Any picture placing an apparent focus on one character when there are a crowd of nondescript, less detailed people.
• Single characters being depicted as engaged in sex acts with a faceless/nameless other.

These situations also do not require this tag:

• Single characters being depicted with multiple viewpoints (post #12904)
• dakimakura (contains multiple viewpoints)
• dual persona
• time paradox
