• Her original appearance, as the female playable character in HGSS. Her male counterpart is Gold. Crystal is the female player character in Pokémon Crystal.
• At some point, she wears Team Rocket clothes:

• The player can type whatever name they want for the character. Additionally, 19 default names are available.
• If Gold is chosen as the player character, then Kotone appears as an NPC named Kotone (Japanese) or Lyra (English).
