美少女戦士セーラームーン (Bishoujo Senshi Sera Mun), officially translated as Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon, is the title of a franchise created by Takeuchi Naoko. It is generally credited with popularizing the concept of sentai magical girls called Sailor Senshi.
The Sailor Moon manga was preceded by Codename: Sailor V, which centered around just one girl. Popular spinoffs are the Sailor Moon Musicals which are theater productions and Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, a live-action take on the series.
