Sayaka with a shield and Kyouko with a scythe actually makes a lot of sense. Sayaka was all about being a hero of justice, so the shield fits that protective theme, and of course her wish granted her a defence-oriented power. As for Kyouko's scythe, just think what scythes are actually used for when not appearing in some JRPG or a picture of the Grim Reaper; they're for harvesting food.
Anyway, this looks like it might be pretty interesting. Hopefully someone will translate it at some point.
