It is impossible to tell at this angle and with this art-style whether or not it is a MG42 or MG34. Given that the MG42 is much more known and common in pop-culture depictions, I give much more weight to this being a MG42 then I do with it a MG34, especially if the artist lists it as such.

The sides appear to not have the many dots of the MG-34, and it has a pretty scratchy version of the MG-42 muzzle, so I'm leaning with this being a MG42.

I'm not blind and this is an MG34, but have it your
way, I'm not starting a tagging war over this.
