This Byakuren is very proud of her standing... also...Byakuren is the sister of one of most famous monks in the japanese history and i assume that Byakuren was as saint as him... so she should deserve respect i think...

Actually Byakuren is rather lapsed for a Buddhist monk. She used to be worse: She used magic to boost her body and preserve her youth - and since her powers came from youkai so she pretended to exterminate them but secretly helped them instead.
She got better later, but her views about equality between youkai and humans weren't received well. This is understandable since before the Great Barrier youkai rather regularly prayed on humans.
So like it was also in the game dialogue, at least most humans don't think she's a saint.

Well in some of the endings her new temple is popular with both groups in Gensokyo; though in the past, Humans weren't pleased with Byakuren hindering their efforts (at the time Youkai were beginning to decline due to organized hunting methods)
FretBowBowSsffSweatBOWTraditionally, the inferior party (Reimu, since a shrine maiden ranks well below the head monk of a temple) bows lower, but Byakuren bowed lower than Reimu expected, throwing her off....1 minute later...Well, Reimu-san, I look forward to working with you.Ch.07 - GreetingGasp...Bow deeplyOh? Tee hee hee!♪
